A charming bungalo located near to the sea. A new roof roof extension has been loveingly crafted to maintain its unique character, whilst providing modern touches. This extension has been formed entirely of timber softwood framing to make it both lightweight and low in embodied carbon.

The roof was designed to be vaulted, using perimeter wall plate beams to remove cross ties.

The new extension was built over existing perimeter cavity walls on the original foundations. No new foundations were required.
